What you should know

Lunch and Snacks

Lunches can be ordered through Fresh Lunches or children may bring their own snack and lunch. Afternoon Extended Care provides a snack. WE ARE A PEANUT AND NUT SENSITIVE CAMPUS. Please do not send peanut butter or other items with nuts in your child’s lunch or snack. Fresh Lunches delivers on time for lunch each day. Menus and ordering information is available here.

Extended Care

Campers may be dropped off on the main yard on the CEE campus between 7:30am and 9:00am for no extra charge. Afternoon Extended Care is available from 3:00pm -6:00pm for $9 per hour or any portion of an hour.

During Extended Care students have a snack play indoor or outdoor games, work on craft project and other fun activities.

Extra Fun Each Week

For added camp fun we’ll have Friday theme days, Riddle of the Week, the Climbing Wall and more.

Community Service

Students will have to opportunity to participate in one or more service projects. Past projects have included a food drive, a lemonade stand to raise money for the Rainforest and for The Children’s Hospital, and a school supplies drive.

Medical Information

A Physicians Health Report must be on file for each student registered to the Summer Institute for kids. Reports can be found on this site and in the confirmation email you receive upon registration.

Medical Alert forms MUST be filled out for any children with ongoing or temporary conditions that require medication or special attention. Any medication should be on file in the nurse’s office.

Fee Payment

Full payment is due at the time of registration. As you fill out your online registration, each class fee will be added to your total. Your total can be paid online with a credit card or e-check or by sending a check within 5 business days of registration in order to hold your place in classes. If you are a CEE student and receive financial aid, you should check the "Pay by Check" box and your adjusted balance will be sent to you.

Absences

There will be no makeup days for absences or for days missed for sickness or travel. Parents are financially responsible for all days that their child is registered to attend.

Enrollment

Students will be enrolled in the order that their completed registrations and payments are received. The grade level indicated is the grade a student will enter in Fall. Registration above or below the recommended grade level will be considered in special cases.

As some classes take a particular interest and ability for sustained concentration, please let us know if your child has any special academic or other needs so we can best serve all of our students.

Nondiscriminatory Policy

Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy as to Students: The Center for Early Education admits students of any race, color, religion, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, or national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, financial aid programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs.

Refund Policy

Notification of withdrawals or changes must be made in writing to the Summer Institute Director. For withdrawal prior to May 1 there will be a non-refundable $50 processing fee retained from your tuition. For withdrawals between May 1 and June 1, for one week classes 50% of your fee will be retained.

Cancellation

We must reserve the right, up to the first day of the course, to cancel courses, for which enrollment is not sufficient. In the event that a course is cancelled, every effort will be made to place a child in a second choice class or similar course offered. A 100% refund will be made when a class is cancelled and no adequate alternative is available. Teacher assignments may be altered.

The Center’s duties and obligations under this Contract shall be suspended immediately without notice during all periods that the School is closed because of force majeure events including, but not limited to, any fire, act of God, war, Governmental action, act of terrorism, epidemic, pandemic or any other event beyond the Center’s control. If such an event occurs, the Center’s duties and obligations in this Contract will be postponed or cancelled until such time as the Center, in its sole discretion, may safely reopen.
