Using the Homepage

The orange banner on top allows you to LOGIN or navigate the website as a public user.

You can get to the Homepage by clicking on "The Center for Early Education" in the top banner from any page in the website.


White words:

Quicklinks – a pull down menu of the most popular pages on the website.

Search – a way to search the website using key words, such as “admissions.”

Help - a place to find assistance in navigating and utilizing the website.

Community Login – one way to login if you are a parent, trustee, or employee with login rights.

Middle Section

Photos that convey the spirit of CEE. The Core Values cycle through next to the photos.

Bottom Green Section

Left – Calendar – Lists upcoming items. You can link directly to the full Calendar by clicking on "full calendar."

Right – News and Events|more – Click on any image to go directly to the content page for that item. If the page you want is password-protected, you may be asked to login if you have not already done so . You will be given a new login page.

Page Bottom

Click on links to various popular pages, Contact Us, Sitemap and Privacy Policy/Terms and Conditions.

Logging In

Some sections on the school website require logging in, such as portals, MY BACKPACK, and CLASSROOM PAGES.

To log into your portals, locate the COMMUNITY LOGIN box at the top right corner of any school webpage, then log in with your username and password. If you do not have your login information, proceed to next page with blank boxes, then choose FORGOT USERNAME/PASSWORD option to request a new ID and/or password.

Please note that during the summer, incoming parents will receive their login information to access the password-protected portions of the website. In addition, anyone who is affiliated with CEE, including alumni and grandparents, can request a login username and password at any time by clicking on FORGOT USERNAME/PASSWORD link. We regret to inform you that we are unable to grant access to private sections on the CEE website until you are a member of the school community.

Using Portals

As a member of The Center community you have access to two or more portals. A portal is a one-stop page, which you can customize.

The All School Portal is where you’ll land after you log in to The Center’s website.

From All School Portal you can go to the Parent Portal, Trustee Portal or Faculty/Staff Portal depending on which constituency you are in.

Tabs are located at near the top of the Portal page and are color-coded.

For example, the Parent Portal is divided into three tabs at the top:

  • The Home tab is a page of sections with different kinds of information.
  • The My Backback tab is a direct link to My Backpack for updating your family information.
  • The Forms tab contains folders of different kinds of forms (Field Trip Permission, etc.) for you to download and print.

On the Home tab you’ll find sections such as My Account, where you can change your password and profile information. What’s New Online has direct links to website pages within the CEE website. There’s a short Calendar section with upcoming events. Resources section contains articles about child development and family matters. There is even a section with the weather!

Take time to explore your Portal, and navigating the CEE website will be easier and quicker.

Trustees have secure access to Board documents in the Trustee Portal. Employee can find a wealth of Human Resources information and forms in the Faculty and Staff Portal.

Using My Backpack

You can gain access to MY BACKBACK, CEE's parent directory, through the Parent Portal. Just click on the MY BACKBACK in the top portion of the Parent Portal page and login with the same username and password for the portals. You can also access it from Quicklinks. You will need to change your password upon your first login and the new password will work for both the portals and Backpack.

Once you are in, you will be able to update your information and find contact information for other parents in the school.

Changes can be made by clicking on Biography (under the My Profile section on the far right side of the page). This will bring you the View/Manage My Profile page, where all changes and additions can be made. In each subsection, changes can be made by clicking on the EDIT button next to the icon of the green pencil. Please remember to click the SUBMIT button after you finish updating to make sure your changes are saved.

Note to Parents Accessing My Backback:

  • Residential Address: Please make sure your home address, home and cell phone numbers, as well as your preferred e-mail addresses are always current. Changes can be made in this section by clicking on the EDIT button in the Residential Address section. Also, make sure that the “Send E-Mails” box is checked and that you click the SUBMIT button after you have updated this section.
  • Work Addresses: In this section, you can provide us with your work address, phone, and, if you would like, your work e-mail. Once again, remember to click the SUBMIT button after you have updated this section.
  • Additional Contacts: You may provide us with the other contact information in this section. When adding a person, please clarify whether that individual is an emergency contact. Also, be sure to clarify each individual’s relationship to the student (i.e., caregiver, out of state contact, etc.). After clicking the SUBMIT button, you will be able to add as many additional contacts as you choose.

Using Classroom Pages

Classroom Pages are updated by the teachers in each class to keep you updated in your children's classroom activities. 

For access, go to QUICKLINKS at the top of any webpage to view the directory of all grades and classrooms. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so. You can also access it in the Parent Portal.

Under each class is a direct link called ‘website.’ Click on ‘website’ to go directly to that class’s page.

In the yellow banner on the left side of the screen you’ll see, for example, CONTINUUM 2, an introductory page to second grade. Click on CONTINUUM 2 A/B OR C/D to view the classroom pages for each section of second grade.

Above these is BACK TO CLASSROOM PAGES, an easy way to get back to the directory of grades and specialists in the school.

Click on MY PROFILE near the top of the yellow banner and you will get basic teacher information.

Using Calendar

Calendar can be accessed from the bottom left section of the homepage or through the Parent Portal.

View the school calendar by selecting the DAY, WEEK, MONTH or YEAR view at the top of the Calendar page.

To the right of calendar views is ALERTS. Click on Alerts and you have options to set alerts to your email address regarding changes to the Calendar.

Next to Alerts is LIST VIEW, if you prefer to see the calendar as a list of dates and events. The List View will correspond to the Day, Week, Month or Year view which you have already selected. You can change these time periods while in List View.

Next to List View is EXPORT. You can send the CEE Calendar to iCal, an RSS Feed or export the calendar as a file.

Calendar HELP is the last icon on the top row. There you’ll find detailed instructions for using the Calendar.

Calendar SEARCH is on the right side of the screen in the ‘banner.’

Online Transactions (Giving, Tickets, Registrations)

Registering for an event or giving a gift online is quick and easy!

Registering for Events:

The Center for Early Education offers a variety of special events throughout the year for parents, alumni, grandparents and grandfriends, and friends of the school. If registration is required, chances are you can do it online! You should be able to get to the registration page through at least one of the following ways:

  • A direct link from Friday Bulletin or other email communications
  • Links on portal pages
  • Homepage banner
  • QR Code (A square barcode on printed materials, as seen on the right, which can be read with a barcode/QR code reader on your smartphone. It will take you directly to the appropriate webpage.)

Once you get to the registration page, fill in and submit the requested info and you will receive an email confirmation for the event. If any further action is required you will be notified.

Online Gift Giving

If you would like to use a credit card to give an Annual Fund Drive gift, pay for event registration, buy Gala tickets or pay for your Gala ad, you can do it online! Please follow below instructions to complete your transaction:

  • AFD Pledges and Gifts: Go to the CONTRIBUTE tab on the homepage and click on MAKE A GIFT ONLINE. If you are ready to make a gift you can fill out the form and complete the payment process. If you are making a pledge to be paid at a later date, please click on "To Make a Pledge" link. You can also find our "Gift of Securities" form on both the CONTRIBUTE page and MAKE A GIFT ONLINE page.
  • Event Registration: If a fee is required to register for an event, please follow the link on the event page to complete your transaction.
  • Purchase Gala Tickets and Pay for Your Gala Ad: Gala-related transactions can be made through a link on the Friday Bulletin or on the GALA page under CONTRIBUTE section.

NEW! Monthly Payment Pledge Option (for Annual Fund Drive Only)

  1. Go to the Online Gift page on the school website under Contribute and select the Pledge Option (or just click here).
  2. When you select Monthly Payments as your Pledge Type, Installment Amount and Number of Payments options will appear.  Please also fill in the Total Pledgedbox.

  3. Your first monthly installment must be charged on the day of the pledge in order for our payment gateway system to securely store the credit card data.  Fill out rest of the pledge form to proceed on to the payment page.  Once your payment information is submitted, you are done!
