Erika Johnson

Assistant Head of School
Erika’s first introduction to the CEE community was as a parent. She began her tenure as a Center employee over 18 years ago as the Director of Annual Giving, and later as Director of Human Resources before transitioning into Assistant Head of School for Operations and, most recently, Assistant Head of School. Prior to her work at The Center for Early Education, Erika was a finance executive at The Walt Disney Company, and an agent trainee at Creative Artists Agency. She earned a BA from Howard University in Finance and a JD from Duke Law School, and is a member of The California Bar Association, the California Independent Schools Business Officers Association, and the National Business Officers Association (NBOA).
The Center for Early Education, a socio-economically and culturally diverse independent school for children, toddlers through grade six, strives to graduate students who are joyful, resilient, life-long learners. The Center embraces a philosophy of education that combines a nurturing, inclusive learning environment with an increasingly challenging academic program that addresses the developmental needs of each child.
