Amy-Marie Rivera

Head of Early Childhood (Toddler, EC1, EC2)
Amy-Marie Rivera has been an early childhood educator for 30+ years. Her expertise ranges in ages from infants through 5th grade. She has held roles as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialists, Assistant Head of School, Director of Teaching and Learning, and now as the Head of Early Childhood here at CEE. Amy-Marie came to The Center in 2021, most recently having been at Corlears School in NYC. Amy-Marie holds a BA in Studio Art and Comparative Religious Studies from the University of Rochester. She also holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education, birth through 2nd grade, and an Advanced Masters in Literacy Specialization from Bank Street College of Education, NYC. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership Program at UCLA, expected graduation 2025. Her passion for education extends beyond working with children to include teachers and parents. Amy-Marie is a dedicated educator and professional who seeks to inspire teachers and students through experiential learning and developmentally sound practices.
