Thank you for your interest in The Center for Early Education. We are looking forward to partnering with your family throughout the admissions process. Just like all that we do at The Center, the admissions process is deeply connected to our core values.

List of 4 items.

  • Responsibility

We take the admissions process seriously and know that families do as well. It is our responsibility to introduce all applicant families to our vibrant, focused, and connected school, answer your questions, and ensure that we provide you with a clear understanding of who we are. Ultimately, we are responsible for building an incredible, thoughtful, diverse school community in which each child and family grows in amazing ways.
  • Honesty

Transparency is important in the admissions process. We know that families are working hard to find the best school match for their child and are sharing so much of their family story with us during this partnership. Our materials, events, and in-person conversations are designed to be clear, warm, and honest about our program, curriculum, family experience, time and financial commitments, and day-to-day life at The Center. If you have questions, please ask!
  • Caring

Our education goes even further than our commitment to academic growth and excellence. We emphasize and focus on each child’s social-emotional growth and development. Our students graduate with a strong sense of self, confidence, resilience, respect for others, creative drive, and a commitment to the community beyond the school. To us, love of learning and understanding of self and others are perhaps the most important outcomes of the Center experience.
  • Inclusion

Diversity and inclusion are integral to The Center for Early Education’s mission, philosophy, and daily life. In the admissions process, we work to create classes that best represent the diversity of our Los Angeles community, so that every student both sees each aspect of their own identity reflected and also connects with children with a great variety of identities and experiences. We consider every aspect of identity, including race, ethnicity, LGBTQ+ families, family structure, economic diversity, adoptive families, learning styles, religion, gender diversity, and so much more.

Inclusion goes beyond the admissions process. Our entire school community partners so that, after enrollment, each family feels seen, included, and an important part of The Center for Early Education.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about The Center’s program, philosophy, community, and admissions process. Lindsay Watson, the Assistant Director of Admissions, and I hope you will reach out to us with any questions.

We’re looking forward to getting to know and partner with your family over the coming months!

Warmly,
